Nazeem Is Legally Brown

Nazeem Is Legally Brown

Our friend Nazeem from Fear Of A Brown Planet has been commissioned for a 10 episode series to be screened on SBS One over in Australia called ‘Legally Brown’.

What differentiates Nazeem to other comics is his unique background. The professionally qualified tax consultant is also on the board of the Islamic Council of Victoria. He is an acknowledged spokesman for his community. Some conservative members urge him to moderate his humour while others want him to go further.

The reaction to how his latest work is perceived will be more than interesting and am sure will provide us with a laugh or two.

You can find more information on the upcoming series here.

Statemeant walks for Islamic Help

Statemeant walks for Islamic Help

To commemorate the ten year anniversary of Islamic Help, Statemeant is taking part in a 10 mile charity walk.

Islamic Help is a UK registered charity and international NGO established in 2003. With a vision to create a world free from poverty based on principles of justice and equality, their good work runs all around the world helping people from all backgrounds and ethnicities.

To celebrate 10 years of reaching people in need, there are numerous fundraising activites taking place through out the year and Statemeant is happy to be taking part in the first of many. This takes the form of a 10 mile walk from East London to West London taking place on Sunday 24th March 2013.
You can make a donation to our fundraising efforts here.

Please do check out some of the amazing work Islamic Help do.
